Material Management Consortium

About the Material Management Consortium (MMC)

The MMC system, which can efficiently manage the material transfer, legal compliance, conclusion of MTAs, and effective utilization of the materials created in the universities between universities, research institutions, and companies around the world, will be used as a material transfer platform that will contribute to the promotion of Japanese research and achieve the smooth distribution of materials and the resulting innovation creation as the result of the activity of MMC. The final goal of the MMC system is to realize the smooth distribution of materials and the resulting innovation creation through the MMC system.

Main Activities of the Consortium

(1) Share the MMC system with members of the Consortium to manage the material transfer effectively.
(2) Provide opportunities to exchange information necessary for the operation of the MMC system.
(3) Spreading uses the MMC system to manage the materials in Japan.
(4) Improve the efficiency of transferring/receiving materials (paperless system, etc.) using the MMC system.
(5) Collect and disseminate information related to the actual situation of the material transfer and the activities of the Consortium.
(6) Organize workshops in line with the objectives of the Consortium.
(7) Cooperative activities with other networks related to the promotion of research.
